My oldest son is currently working on getting an advanced degree in sports management. He’s recently started investigating sports management internships because he feels that aquiring some hands on working experience will give him an advantage after he graduates and starts to look for a job and I definitely agree. In addition to possessing a college degree, attaining the real life practical experience in his chosen field will put him in a better position than any other potential prospects he might be competing with in the future.
A potential problem is that I could not afford to pay for the entire price of his education or his rent and other bills so he also has a full time job together with attending classes. That is why, he has been looking into summer internships for college students so he can keep working at his regular job to make money to pay the expenses but also get a position as an intern throughout the summer when he doesn’t have to attend any classes.
Funds will be a bit tight but I will help out any way I can. One way we made it possible to save some cash on his monthly bills was to do some research and find the cheapest car insurance for young drivers. It’s probably fairly well known that younger people in general have to shell out considerably more cash for their insurance policy coverage than older people but by investing a bit of time on the internet doing some research we were able to discover a more desirable rate which will save my son almost $600 each year.
His future is looking very good and I am sure he will have no trouble finding a great internship. He has terrific social skills as well as a great work ethic. He is also a computer expert and he is incredibly motivated with a genuine drive to accomplish his goals. Needless to say as his father I am biased but I’m very confident that he has the goods to be very prosperous in any arena he chooses.
